What to do if you are getting Bullied

There are things you can do if you are being bullied:

Look at the person/student/kid bullying you and tell them him or her to stop in a calm, clear voice. You can also try to laugh it off. (This works best if joking is easy for you) it could catch the kid bullying you off guard.

There are things that you can do to stay safe in the future, too.
  • Talk to an adult you trust.Don't keep your feeling inside.Telling someone can help you feel less alone. They can help you make a plan to stop the bullying.
  • Stay away from places were the bullying happens. ( If it happens at school, please don't ditch school, you need education)
  • Stay near adults and other kids who you feel safe with. Mostly bullying happens when adult aren't around..

Protect Yourself from Cyberbullying

Bullying does not always happen in person. Cyber bullying is a type of bullying that happens online or through text messages or emails. There are things you can do to protect yourself.

  • Don't say anything to someone online if you wouldn't say it in person
  • Think of what you post because the Internet is a giant loop. Once you post something you can never erase it. Will you regret it in the future? Will your parents be happy with it? What will your friends say?
  • Always think of what you post,it may hurt others. You never know what someone will forward. Being kind to others online will help you keep you safe. Do not share anything that could hurt or embarrass anyone.
  • Keep your password safe from others. Even kids that seem like your friends could give your password away or use it in ways you don't want. Let your parents have your password.
  • Think of who sees what you post online. Complete Strangers?Friends? Friends of friends? Privacy settings let you control who sees what?
  • Keep your parents in the loop. Tell them what you're doing online and who you're doing it with. Let them friend or follow you.Listen to what they have to say about what is and isn't okay to do. They care for you and want you to be safe!
  • Talk to an adult you trust about any messages you get or things you see online that makes you sad or scared. If it's cyber bullying Report it!

WITNESSING

WITNESSING BULLYING

Have you ever heard a student call another student stupid, ugly, or dumb before?

What have you done about it?

If you have ever seen this before and you just sit there and ignore it because "it's not your business" well you are worse than the person saying those words. If you are a bully witness and you don't do anything about it, then you are just making it worse. What you need to do is tell someone so it can stop because if you don't say anything then there is nothing someone can help you with.

Different Types of Bullying

There are many different types of bullying.
